Endocrine Testing of Los Angeles (ETLA)

Endocrine Testing of Los Angeles performs sophisticated endocrine testing for patients from around the country. ETLA is co-directed by Theodore Friedman, M.D., Ph.D., a board-certified Endocrinologist and expert on pituitary and adrenal disorders and Michel Mazouz, M.D., a board certified internist. The testing will be performed by Dr. Mazouz and his staff.

Tests currently available include:

Glucagon stimulation test: an excellent test for growth hormone deficiency.
Cosyntropin test 1 mcg test: A test for cortisol deficiency in patients with partial adrenal insufficiency.
Cosyntropin test 250 mcg test: A test for cortisol deficiency in patients with more severe adrenal insufficiency.
Dexamethasone-CRH test: A test to distinguish between Cushing’s syndrome and pseudo Cushing’s states. CRH test: A test to determine the type of Cushing’s syndrome.
Oral glucose tolerance test: A test to diagnose acromegaly.

ETLA requires check or Paypal payment and will supply you with a superbill to present to your insurance for reimbursement. Results plus interpretation will be emailed to you approximately 10 days after testing. Patients that are not currently seen by Dr. Friedman require a referral letter from their treating health care provider and a brief summary of their medical problem. Testing occurs at 1125 S. Beverly Blvd, Suite 730, Los Angeles, CA 90035 and is currently offered most mornings.
